Body Goals


Did you know that you have a relationship with fitness? It consist of meal preparations, morning stretches, daily hydration (H20), a weekly fitness routine that excites you, some comfortable clothes that make you feel comfortable and secure, accountability partner, weight goal, protein/supplement shakes, time management, rest, meditation, positive thinking, releasing frustration, allowing healing time for body aches and pains and sprains, and if that wasn’t enough...I may even be missing something. 

It took me 2 years just to figure this whole thing out. Talk about frustration?! No one mentioned that when I started I would be fighting cravings and that my body would be detoxing from unhealthy living and old eating habits. When I say detox, I mean, I would easily catch a cold, become lightly injured, feel lazy, get moody and became angry with my lack of commitment. 

You know what didn’t help? Being surrounded with people who weren’t really into fitness. They didn’t understand my hunger for change and motivation for sacrifice. I had to sacrifice time and energy with friends and family in order to become fully committed. 

You know... To have and to hold, to honor and obey, through the good and the bad, and sickness and health type of commitment. I became engaged. I became more engaged with the different sources of the relationship which needed to be maintained. Heck! I even added terrible treats to my meal plan just to keep me sane.
